Art uses me to express itself, I have no choice in the matter.
I am me, I'd rather you try not to be me, because then who would I be.

Hi to one and all,
My name is Annie, and I bid you welcome.
I have been married to a great guy for 25 years, this June 24, 2009.
We have two happy and funny teens, 19 & 18, this year. They're great kids, and we're very proud of them both.
We also have a collie-mix dog named Ruby, and a kitten named Yuki. Which means snow in Japanese.
I've lived in the same province (Manitoba), for most of my life, except for two years, when my family moved to British Columbia in the early 70's. I loved everything about our little farm in B.C., and I have some of my most fondest memories from that time.
I'm a very creative person, and considered to be a very good artist by my many friends. My hobbies are writing poetry, creating artwork in mixed-mediums, oil or watercolor paintings, abstract photography, sculpting in wood, clay and arts n' crafts with mix-mediums. I'm looking forward to exploring other mediums in creating my artwork.
I like to relax by reading a good murder mystery or fiction novels. I also like to read dictionaries, thesauruses and encyclopedias. I enjoy playing solitaire, solving crosswords. My favorite authors are Thomas Harris, Judith Tarr, Jeffery Denver, Piers Anthony, Edgar Rice Burroughs, and Tolkien. I've also been reading a new series called The Wayfarer Redemption by Sara Douglass. An Australian author. A while ago I read a book by Ian Graham, called Monument, which was very good, and I recommend it.
My other interests are in the occult and numerology. I'm a Piscesian, and a 6/22 in numerology. Path/Life lesson #6. The numbers 9's and 11's are always involved in my life. I also enjoy discussing theology as well. I consider myself to be an Agnostic / Pagan in my beliefs. I do favor the Earth Mother dogma because I'm part Cree in my heritage. Another interest is Genealogy, and I have been working on and off on my family tree for the past 25 years.
Favorites:
Sound:
My kids laughing with friends.
Memory:
Talking with my Great Aunt Bella. She gave me a ceramic elephant figurine before she passed away from Diabetes, so now I collect them. On my birthday I always take the day off to go do things I enjoy, and buy an elephant figurine.
Songs:
What a Wonderful World by L. Armstrong,
Fixing A Hole by the Beatles,
Angel Eyes by Ella Fitzgerald.
Feeling Good by Muse
Movies:
His Girl Friday; with C. Grant & R. Russel, Mame w R.Russel.
We're No Angels; with H. Bogart, P. Ustinov, & A. Ray.
The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty; with D. Kaye, V. Mayo, B. Karloff.
Time of day:
Sunrise
Place:
A beach house next to the sea.
Flowers:
white with yellow centers, Shasta daisies, yellow-orange petalled, California Poppies
Drink:
fresh brewed Red Rose Tea, Long Island Ice tea, Bailey's Rum.
Food:
Greek / Italian
Colour:
blue-blacks , indigo blues, moss greens, ocher yellows & reds.
Curse word:
"What in the wide, wide world of __(insert appropriate activity or situation)__ do you think you're doing!?" ( this is because, I used to work with children, and never got out of the habit ).
Other tid-bits of info:
Childhood ambition: Ballet dancer.
Adult ambition: fulltime Artist.
Story from childhood: Riding a run-a-way black mare down a country road, when I was 10.
.A perfect day: Waking up early (4-AM) on a summer morning, hot tea and a big breaky, doing art work all day, on my island, then relaxing by a window watching the sun go down, sipping another cup of piping hot tea, and reading a great novel by a fav author.
Retreat: My garden, and (not in real life - My Island )
Wildest Dream: To be rich enough to do Philathropy.
Proudest moment: The moment I realized that I able to live my life as I please, and that I can say, "No, I'm not what you (all) think I am, and what you (all) think of me is umimportant." to my disparaging family.
Biggest challenge: Overcoming my inferiority complex, and crippling shyness when I was a young child and teenager, respectively.
My first job: Working at a clothing factory, fusing knee patching onto kids's pants. I had to do a thousand pairs a day, and when they asked for 2,000 (pairs) - I quit!
My inspiration: My Muses: Rachael & Selina. Having silly conversations with them both.
So if we share similar interests or life experiences, please be welcome to add me your friends list and I'll add you to mine ^_^. I believe life is all about sharing.
Be welcome to look at my other account: thecavepainter2. Which is for silly stories, MSN plays, and any and all other oddities. ^_^.
